Rice Test Breast Implant Sizers
Simple Experiment for Breast Augmentation
If you're considering Breast Augmentation, choosing the breast implants that will allow you to meet your size goal is one of the most important decisions you will make. Using a simple experiment called the Rice Test, you can start to get an idea of how you would look with different sizes of breast implants prior to your consultation with a Plastic Surgeon.
The Rice Test is performed by preparing homemade "rice implants" or "rice sizers" and wearing them inside of a sports bra. In this way, you can quickly "try on" various sizes of breast implants in the comfort of your home.
Once you have prepared your rice implants, wear them around the house, try on different tops and look at yourself in the mirror. To change to a new size, just pour out the rice and remeasure.
Understanding Breast Implant Volumes
The volume of your Breast Implants — along with their shape, diameter, projection and feel — will go a long way toward defining your final result with Breast Augmentation.
Breast implant volumes are measured in cubic centimeters (cc's). Doing the Rice Test helps you to become familiar with volume measurements in cc's and better understand breast implant sizes when you discuss your aesthetic goals with your Plastic Surgeon and work with him or her to finalize your target breast size.
